Truth isn't always smiled upon.
Helping hands are spat upon.
And friends quickly turn to foes.
Having to watch loved ones walking - running down the wrong path.
Down to destruction, down to despair, down the drain.
Try to correct and save them, and you're a monster.
You're stupid, a bitch, selfish, rude, bad, and wrong.
What is compassion if it is not wanting to help someone in need?
Is it wrong to want the best for them?
Selfish to want them to improve?
Bad to want them to be happy?
...Enough to end friendships?
So be it.
I will continue to push you the right way.
Away from the pain you're causing yourself.
Away from the wasted talent.
What is a family if they don't look out for you?
What is a friend if they do not help?
I am willing to sacrifice it all, so you can be happy, better off.
Hate me all you want.
Take all of my tears.
You will be better off in the end.
And even if you do not thank me...
It will be enough to make me smile again.

Based on a couple of situations.
Wrote it up....pretty quickly, so .... it's not really "polished", or anything fancy!
Tried to keep this one shorter too; I keep making long poems!
Basically it's about someone sacrificing a friendship to make the friend happy and better. "Tough love", I guess?
